Wounded Warrior Project applauds President Obama for signing into law a measure that, for the first time, will ensure that families of veterans severely wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan receive comprehensive, coordinated financial and other support that will enable them to provide these warriors with needed home-care. Enactment of the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2010 has been the highest legislative priority for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), which worked with Congress for more than a year to win its passage. Since before the United States entered World War II, the USO (United Service Organizations) has been the bridge between the American public and the U.S. military. In times of peace and war, the USO has consistently delivered its special brand of comfort, morale and recreational services to the military. The USO, a congressionally chartered, private, nonprofit organization, relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to support USO activities. Ever since I was a small child, there has always been talk of the history of my family which has included those who have served in the military. Because of this history and my inability to serve myself due to health reasons, I have always looked for ways to show my support to those in the military specifically the US military and those individuals and organizations that support them as well.

It is my honor to continue my personal tradition of showing that support by volunteering with Salute The Armed Forces and Best Entertainment. I look forward to working with these two groups as we support those who serve us.

Hawthorne Race Course on August 13th, 14th, & 15th

Three days of music, food, and fun and Nightly Fireworks!

There are games for the kids and remember you and your family can join us in the evening after the Chicago Air and Water Show!


100% of the NET proceeds go to Support the Wounded Warrior Project, the USO of Illinois, America 4 R Marines and Hillside Home for a Soldier.

Military Fly-over’s, Parachute Jumpers and Fireworks display each evening at dusk!  There will be a Baggo Tournament; players compete for a new Nintendo Wii game console.

Three days of patronage to our Military, please join us as a tribute to their bravery and courage!
