At only 26, new Essential artist Brooke Barrettsmith has discovered a wisdom that eludes many twice her age. This is a young woman who is completely comfortable in her own skin and thoroughly certain of the career path she’s chosen in Christian music.
Adept at guitar and piano, as well as a prolific writer, Brooke’s musical heritage runs deep. “My dad’s mom was a Broadway singer in Chicago, and my mom’s mom was an Italian opera singer in Chicago. My dad was a professional musician, too. When he was 18 years old, he started doing session drumming and played at venues in Chicago with blues legends like Buddy Guy and B.B. King. So I guess I had no choice—it’s in my blood!”

The Supremes,* the world's all time favorite female group, earned the accolades of the world with their reign on the music charts during the 60's and 70's. The Supremes had eight individual members during this time and each of the eight ladies contributed to the group's recording and performing success. The Former Ladies of The Supremes (F.L.O.S.) (Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence) feature two genuine members of the Motown signed and recorded Supremes. The F.L.O.S. should not be confused with the tribute and sound alike acts of today. The third singer of their group is Freddi Poole. This group can be traced to the group of yesterday, the history, the songs, and most importantly the talent is there! Since their formation in 1986 they have acquired an impressive biography with recordings and sold out performances all over the world. Scherrie and Lynda's trio have performed alongside a host of other legendary Motown acts including The Temptations, The Four Tops, and Martha Reeves and The Vandellas. The Ladies have also toured extensively with James Brown, The Three Degrees and Sister Sledge. In the summer of 2000 Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence had the honor of uniting with the Supreme Diva, Miss Diana Ross, for the Diana Ross and The Supremes "Return To Love" Tour.

Seldom has a performer been strongly considered for an Academy Award in both acting and music, yet Frank Stallone has managed to pull it off. His fiery portrayal of a brutish bartender Eddie in the film Barfly had Hollywood insiders abuzz at Oscar time, and his #1 hit Far From Over, from the film Staying Alive, was likewise touted for a 'Best Song' nomination. It’s all in a day’s work for Frank a gifted artist who is equally comfortable on screen or on the concert stage.
This Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist has been everything from a street singer, a rock singer, to a big band singer. Frank was also nominated for a Grammy for best soundtrack and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song from the film Staying Alive. Frank has written songs for 11 films, and has recorded 8 solo albums and has had his music on the Billboard charts 8 times and still plays to SRO crowds in arenas and concert halls from Los Angeles to London.
Frank made his on-screen singing debut, performing the self-penned song, sung acapella , 'Take You Back', in the opening scene of the film ROCKY in 1976.
Frank has appeared in over 58 movies. One of his most memorable on- screen appearances was his role as Ed Bailey, a dangerous gunslinger in Tombstone, and as Eddie the bartender in Barfly, which gave rise to serious consideration for Frank for an Academy Award nomination, and won the acclaim of renowned film critic Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun Times. “Barfly is a terrific film that features an outstanding performance by Frank Stallone…he’s both captivating and terrifying at the same time!”
On stage Frank is a natural performer. His singing, guitar playing and broad experience of playing all over the world has given him an edge as a performer. “I can’t wait to get out there and sing,” notes Frank. That same kind of upbeat anticipation colors every creative endeavor he undertakes. Frank’s lifelong musical journey continues, and his enthusiasm for entertaining remains unshaken.

The popularity of The Guess Who has increased tremendously due to the strength and highly regarded reputation of their live concert performances.
Although membership in the group has changed through the years, they have remained musically consistent behind the strengths of original members Jim Kale (bass and vocals) and Garry Peterson (drums and vocals). Additionally, current members include Carl Dixon (vocals and guitars), Leonard Shaw (keyboards, flute, sax and vocals) and Laurie MacKenzie (guitars and vocals). As they perform hit after hit in concert, it's easy to see and hear why The Guess Who remain one of today's most sought after touring attractions.

The Godfather of Motor City Rock & roll is still out there burning it up after thirty-five years. His band is hot and tight, still covering the entire Mitch Ryder Song Book: from the early 60's hits like "Devil With The Blue Dress On" through 70's projects like "Detroit Memphis Experiment" to the 80's John Cougar-Mellencamp produced "Never Kick A Sleeping Dog". Into the next century Mitch Ryder continues his "Rite of Passage".

Sonny Geraci is one of a select few pop singers to have top 5 songs with two different bands. It started in the mid-sixties when a new band emerged from Cleveland, Ohio. They were the Outsiders, and would forever be remembered for the monumental smash hit, "Time Won't Let Me". With Sonny as the lead singer, the Outsiders went on to record four albums and three more Top 40 records for Capital Records, "Respectable", "Help Me Girl", and "Girl In Love".
Then Sonny created a new group called "Climax" with the help of Marc Gordon and producer Larry Cox. The new band recorded the song "Precious and Few", which immediately went to #1 nationally. Sonny "puts a smile on the audiences' faces." I love people, meeting them and signing their autographs. The fans are the reason I continue to perform.

As a young college student at Rutgers University, Elliot Lurie would write and practice original material with his band Looking Glass in a barn in his hometown of New Jersey. Little did he know that one of those compositions, “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)” would go on to become one of the biggest hits of 1972.
In 2003 a long distance call from Jeff Lehman to Elliot Lurie resulted in a reformation of Looking Glass for live shows. This newly reformed group features the soulful baritone and guitar playing of Elliot Lurie along with the soulful high tenor and keyboards of Jeff Lehman, who sings many of the staple songs of deceased member Peat Sweaval.

In 1964, when the British Invasion was in progress and American rockers were tough to find on the U.S. pop charts, Johnny Rivers was one of the first to regain a foothold; his first Top 10 record came right in the midst of Beatlemania. His formula was much the same as the British style vintage American rock n' roll and R&B played with a verve and simplicity that gave his music a contemporary edge. Over the next four years his funky, go-go rock gave him a steady stream of Top 10 records. His first #1 record came when, against the advice of the record company, he abruptly switched gears and began cutting ballads. * 17 Gold records * 29 chart hits * Two Grammy Awards, * Sold more than 30 million records * In 2006, the singer/songwriter/producer continues to perform before sellout crowds worldwide. *The “Secret Agent Man” has many other accomplishments and has made significant contributions to the history of rock ‘n roll.

Gary Lewis was about as close to being an “overnight success” in the recording field as anyone can get. And – just because it happens so seldom – it is always a special thrill when show business lightning strikes twice in the same family. The comedy antics of Jerry Lewis skyrocketed him to fame when he was just barely out of his teens. No. 1 son Gary had achieved comparable success in the music field… also at a young and carefree age.
The son of a famous father – in any field – is often faced with serious problems in finding and maintaining his own identity. But Gary Lewis and The Playboys were enthusiastically accepted by audiences from the very first night, and as the word spread it was not long before they were playing to a packed house every night.

Mike Pachelli started playing guitar at age 10 in his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio. He studied classical guitar at YSU and then moved to New York City to study bebop. Mike's guitar style is an amalgamation of jazz, rock, blues, and neo-classical. He has a wealth of musical experience gained thru years of night clubs, concert halls, and recording studios. He's gigged and/or studied with the most eclectic including organist Jack McDuff, guitar luminaries Joe Pass and Pat Martino, big band greats Les and Larry Elgart, and pianists Ferrante and Teicher among others. But Mike claims that what has given him the most musical clarity is his unyielding faith in the Lord and realization that all talent comes from and should be used for the glory of God.
